Creating art is my portal to freedom - to the place where we can meet, subtracting Ego and the conventions of Time and Space. Art is the place where yearning is ending.
Throughout my visual art, color reigns. Also, I adore kissing the canvas with dots of paint. My influences come from many sources, especially ancient history and cultures. I work with several media, including acrylics, paint pens, fabric, glitter, and the occasional leaf plucked from a garden shrub - whatever is available or of interest to honor the day's muse.
The blank canvas represents my playground. When we are children playing at a playground, we imagine and create without boundaries or steadfast rules. Likewise, I enter visual art as a joyful, lawless endeavor. This is a personal choice I've made, and, contrarily, I apply a different philosophy to writing - an endeavor in which I seek to master the rules before daring to bend them.
